Born in Hong Kong on 8.10.1958, she wrote her first television screenplays at the age of 19.
Alongside her career as a freelance writer she also worked in PR and the advertising industry.
Her hugely successful screenplay, COMRADES, ALMOST A LOVE STORY (dir.: Peter Chan, 1996) was followed by other scripts for award-winning films such as JULY RHAPSODY (dir.: Ann Hui, 2001) and DIVERGENCE (dir.: Benny Chan, 2005). CLAUSTROPHOBIA marks her debut as a director in her own right.
