Born in Taipei on 9.11.1973, he attended the National University of the Arts in Taipei.

Since graduating he has made several short films and various television programmes for Taiwan’s public sector broadcaster.
He first made a name for himself at festivals outside Taiwan with his 2005 short, NUMBERS. MIAO MIAO is his first feature film.
