Arrivare in Cina e non sapere una parola di questo ostico ma utile e “acustico” idioma, è, come ben si conosce, un’avventurosa impresa, ricca di frustrazioni quanto di risate, di disagio e ironia, di ansia e volontà.

Visto che la realtà quotidiana non offre l’opzione dei sottotitoli e nemmeno del doppiaggio, bisogna, in qualche modo, districarsi nel labirinto delle città pullulanti e cercare nel gorgoglio di telefonate in un Inglese improvvisato e nei siti per expat, una scuola o chi per essa, la quale faccia da trampolino per tuffarsi in questa colorata cozzaglia di realtà.
Prendiamo ad esempio Shanghai e una ragazza ventenne che sa solo contare fino a dieci evitando il due, non chiedetemi il perché (secondo me è più difficile il nove, ad esempio).

Si comincia consultando il sito di That’s Shanghai (www.thatssh.com),  rivista famosissima che offre servizi ed informazioni di qualunque sorta, dai locali agli eventi, dalle mostre alle tendenze, oppure consultando i siti e le segreterie delle Università più gettonate, come la Fudan (www.fudan.edu.cn) o la Huadong Shida (www.ecnu.com.cn); anche il sito www.shanghai-ed.com offre qualche indirizzo.
Ci si riempie così di indirizzi e-mail costituiti da assurdi acronimi, tipo manrovescio alla tastiera del computer (si è invitati a provare, dfg nv bhj) e di numeri di telefono, rivoltisi ai quali si ottengono pronte risposte.

Anche le scuole, come gli ospedali, sono un business, quindi non si pensi di trovare istituti benefattori che offrono strumenti linguistico-culturali per il gusto di diffondere il putonghua e la millenaria cultura cinese o come missione; si trovano persone disponibili, spesso davvero preparate ed esperte, parlanti un buon inglese, disposte anche a lezioni a domicilio, le quali però chiedono laute ricompense per il loro operato. Le cifre medie si aggirano sui 100 Renminbi all’ora: se si pensa che uno stipendio medio si aggira sui 2000 Renminbi al mese, si deduce che questi diffusori di mezzi comunicativi e nozioni culturali potrebbero condurre una dignitosa esistenza lavorando soltanto una settimana al mese, part-time, peraltro.

PROGRAM
Intensive Group Course: This is a general Chinese group course designed for all levels. You can join any Monday (except for beginners). 20 lessons per week, 4 lessons in the morning from Monday to Friday that leave you free in the afternoon to discover the city. Maximum 8 students in a group.
Private Tutoring: This is the fastest and most effective way to learn. Designed to meet the personal needs and goals. It is also ideal for those students who cannot commit to a regular scheduled class because of fretuent traveling.

Part-time Group Course:
This is ideal for those who work or live in Shanghai. Group of 3 to 5 students, max 6 students.

2 person group class: 75RMB/person/hour
3-5 person group class:60RMB/person/hour
If a student  book a full course of 50 hours, he/she will get 3 hours extra free lesson
If a student book 2 full course of 100 hours, he/she will get 8 hours extra free lesson
